Problem: It is January in Montreal, and Angela needs to get to class at the top of a hill. However, it is very steep and covered in slush and ice. For every 3 steps Angela takes, she slides back 2. Assume that the hill is a right triangle with hypotenuse = 30 ft (9.144 m). Assume also each step = 1 ft (0.3048 m).
Question: How many steps will it take for Angela to reach the top of the hill?
And more importantly, will she make it to class on time?
