Hello again readers!
Just catching up. The day before yesterday we awoke and readied to go into Bristol, which is not too far from the manor, but would have been a three and a half hours’ walk. Instead, we took the bus from a neighbouring village, Thornbury, into Bristol and set off for a day of shopping, shopping, and….unsurprisingly, more shopping. Oh, and some eating. We spent the early afternoon in and out of shops in the expansive Bristol Mall. Famished after all the shopping, we ate at “Yo Sushi”—a futuristic restaurant where little portions zoom past the counters on many-coloured plates. Then, we returned to shopping. My sister now claims to collect dresses. She also believes she has found her most favourite store ever. We dined at a fine eating establishment in the evening called Planet Pizza, where the handsome young man serving us gave us his number. Perhaps we will let him squire us around Bristol.
